Dangerous Dog Hidden in Lockport
A dangerous dog that has viciously attacked at least two children is being hidden to avoid a court order to euthanize it.

"Chopper", a Rottweiler – Shepherd mix dog ordered euthanized by Judge Thomas DiMillo is being hidden by it's owner in the Lockport area.
The dog is a black and tan Rottweiler – Shepherd mix around 90 pounds. It was last known to be in the vicinity of 6493 Dysinger Road, Lockport. Anyone knowingly harboring this dog may be charged with obstructing governmental administration and reckless endangerment.
This dog has viciously attacked at least two children in Lockport, once in 2007 and again in May 2011, causing serious injuries. On both occasions the dog charged out of the owner’s house and attacked without provocation.
The dog is owned by a City of Lockport resident who has told Animal Control and the courts that she has given the dog away but will not reveal its whereabouts or who is harboring the dog. The owner has been charged with harboring an unlicensed dog and additional charges may be pending.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of this dog should immediately contact the Lockport Animal Control Officer or the Lockport Police. This is a very dangerous and aggressive dog and should not be approached.
