Designed for use in a classroom, auditorium or over the internet, TrainStation enables a course trainer to wirelessly broadcast questions - known as injects - to delegates' computers. The delegates then use TrainStation to compose and send their answers back to the trainer, to be displayed for everyone to view and discuss. The process is then repeated for further injects as the course progresses.

By carrying out exercises and syndicated discussions in this way, the delegates:
- Are encouraged to think independently rather than relying on the input of others,
- Have immediate interaction with the presentation,
- Can be tested by the facilitator and encouraged to produce original thoughts.
