Dave Neal, the former Coal City attorney who has previously served two terms as the state’s attorney for Grundy County from 1988 to 1996, has announced his intention to pursue the Democratic nomination for the position once more in 2012. Dave Neal brings a wealth of experience to the position from a variety of sources, including his prior time in office. Dave Neal has handled a number of high-profile jury trials during his tenure as state’s attorney, including the trial of bonfire murderer Edward Moore, Jr., which ended with Moore’s conviction and death sentence.
