Dave Ryan from 101.3 KDWB Twitters People with fibromyalgia should be shot

Dave Ryan from 101.3 KDWB stated on his twitter account "People who should be shot: those who walk sloooooowly off the airplane 7 minutes behind the last person in front of them. Also, those who claim they have fibromyalgia." The "Tweet" as twitter users call them was posted on Oct, 10th, 2009 at 1:44 PM. People who suffer from this condition are outraged and appalled by his cruel and heartless comment. The Radio D.J. who's show is based out of Minneapolis, MN has received many fuel filled comments on his Facebook page and several replies on Twitter from people living with the condition but he has yet to reply as of October, 13, 2009.

Fibromyalgia, which has also been referred to as fibromyalgia syndrome, fibromyositis and fibrositis, is characterized by chronic widespread pain, multiple tender points, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbances, fatigue and often psychological distress. For those with severe symptoms, fibromyalgia can be extremely debilitating and interfere with basic daily activities.While the underlying cause or causes of FM still remain a mystery, new research findings continue to bring the medical community closer to understanding the basic mechanisms of fibromyalgia. Most researchers agree that FM is a disorder of central processing with neuroendocrine/neurotransmitter dysregulation. The FM patient experiences pain amplification due to abnormal sensory processing in the central nervous system.

Jen Reynolds of Fibrotv.com, a monthly WebTV Show that will be launched in late February was shocked by Mr Ryan's statements. "I ca not believe that someone can be so heartless and cruel to people who have been afflicted by this condition. I am trying my best to get the fibromyalgia community positive about life then we get slapped in the face with such hatred about something we did not choose to have. I did not ask to have this it was throw on my lap. I just try to keep a smile on my face and live my life. I had no idea I inconveniencing was so many people!"

Jen Reynolds dealt with it the only way she knows how...By making a sarcastic video. "I use comedy and positive thinking to treat my condition. The video is a little sarcastic like me, but it gets the point across."
