David Bittle Has Earned an Excellent Range of Certifications and Licenses

David Bittle served on active duty in the United States Coast Guard for more than 24 years and retired in September 2011 as a chief petty officer. He was promoted to the rank of chief due to his exemplary performance. He is a senior level specialist with excellent flair of leadership and management skills. Mr. Bittle has special expertise in security and environmental safety/response areas such as security operations, emergency response, threat management, site security monitoring, hazardous materials management and regional response planning. He is a trained professional in areas of emergency response, security and environmental disasters.

Over the years, David Bittle has earned various certifications and licenses such as Massachusetts Class A Large Capacity License to Carry Firearms (no restrictions), U. S. Merchant Mariner’s 100 ton Captain’s License with Towing Endorsement and MA Class A Commercial Driver’s License. He is also a small arms instructor and ordnance safety inspector for high explosive transfers. David Bittle has also received various awards and medals. Some of these include Coast Guard Commendation Medal (2), Coast Guard Achievement Medals (2), Global War on Terror Service Medal, Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon (4) and many more.


An accomplished USCG Chief Petty Officer (retired), David Bittle has a proven ability to assess situations, analyze multiple courses of action and execute prudent decisions. As Chief of Security at the Coast Guard base in Boston, he was responsible for supervising and managing all elements of the overall USCG security program. He has always showed his presence of mind through courage and sense of duty that made him an inspiration among his colleagues and juniors.
