De'Leon Receives Emmy Nod
Last of a Dying Breed, Directed by actress Lunden De'Leon receives 2010 Emmy Nomination

The National Academy of Arts and Sciences southeastern chapter announced today that "Last of a Dying Breed," directed by actress Lunden De'Leon, has been submitted for a 2010 Emmy Nomination.
Filmed in South Carolina, Last of a Dying Breed is an urban drama about a soldier returning home from Iraq to a life he thought he left behind.
" My dad passed away in June 2009", says De'Leon. "A week after his death, I started filming Last of a Dying Breed. Throwing myself into this movie helped ease my pain but I never thought in a million years that the Emmy's would consider it for an award. I am truly honored."
Fans recall first being introduced to De'Leon as Joanne Mbutu on the hit television series Vital Signs. Years later, she catapulted that breakout role into a successful career with quite an impressive track-record by creating a number of unforgettable performances and starring in over fifty movies and television shows like the 20th Century Fox Movie The Ladies Room, Surviving Paradise, Fury, Faux-Pas, Cryptz, the HBO award-winning film Kickin Chicken and the NBC hit comedy "Just Shoot Me."
De'Leon was soon voted by The Ave Magazine as "One of the Most Significant Women in Entertainment" alongside Halle Berry, Beyonce and Oprah Winfrey to name a few .
The Emmy's ceremony will be held June 26, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia.
