Dead Earth Politics Releases "Artistic License" Music Video

The do-it-yourself metal outfit from Austin, Texas has done it again! After raising the bar by releasing the self produced "The Weight of Poseidon" (co-produced by Josh Woodhouse of Droplink Productions), Dead Earth Politics steps up again with the first video supporting the album. Working with Charlie Brigance, a local independent filmmaker, the band set out not necessarily to create a boundary-busting music video in concept but boundary-destroying by its accessibility. "What I mean by that," says drummer, Mason Evans, "is that too many bands complain about how they don't have the money to do this or that. Let alone a video. We pooled our resources - none of which had anything to do with liquidity."

With the help of local support from The Dirty Dog Bar on sixth street (the venue where the opening and closing sequences were shot), and the talent of metal legend Jason McMaster who appears in very good humor as 'metal's nemesis', Dead Earth Politics was able to release "Artistic License"! The band has also assured us that they are now diligently working on the promised European dates. They are now doing so... that's right...by themselves!
