Ms. Chan's work focuses on Asian-American women and immigration issues. In 2002 she was the Somerville Artist Fellow. She also was the Artist in Residence at The Boston Center For The Arts. She is a graduate of Simmons and the Trinity Rep. Conservatory. Her first solo piece, "Unbinding Our Lives" shatters the exotic, subservient China Doll image.
