The King lived again at the first annual œImage of the King concert performed by Lloyd Aron Douglas as œTotally Elvis in Merced, California. Lloyd, who has an uncanny resemblance to Elvis, down to the cheeky facial expressions, can really capture a crowd. The audience was enthralled, and just like the original concerts, the fans could be heard screaming œElvis, I love you, Elvis. In 90-minutes, Lloyd brought back Elvis, to all appearances, the same dance moves, looks, costumes, and electrifying energy. Even Mayor Thurston of Merced got into the spirit and formally presented a police badge to Lloyd in his persona as œTotally Elvis on stage. The fans went crazy at this reminder of Elvis passion for police badges and were astounded to re-live this bit of Elvis realism.
