One said, “Confidence, optimism and sentiment undeniably have their place in markets but, at some point, as investors, we must pay attention to the fundamentals and, lately, the data we’ve been getting has told us something completely different from what the talking-head analysts, economists and politicians on CNBC and Bloomberg have been trying to drum into us. This recovery is phony!! ”.

The stark statement came after G20 leaders ignored President Barack Obama’s call for more coordinated fiscal stimulus measures to cement the recovery.

“Delta Continental” remain of the opinion that the world simply could not talk its way to economic recovery and that, eventually, the practice of using more debt to drive the solution to a problem created by too much debt was guaranteed to result in a more painful and destructive outcome.

The firm said that it expects equity markets to rally into mid-July before crashing and urged clients to sell certain equity holdings into such surges

“Delta Continental” analysts suggested that falling US treasury yields and higher gold prices showed that an increasing number of investors believe that markets are certain to fall.
