Denver Colorado Lot Sales Spike 800% in December 2010

Home Builders Research of Colorado recently published the year-end 2009 new housing reports for the Denver Metro area and other market areas analyzed along the Front Range. David Laffoon, President, offered recently that "Lot sales recorded in December 2009 were up 800% from what typically had been seen over the past year or so. Many of the lot sales transactions were to predominately well know builders, apparently taking advantage of lot prices at or near the bottom." Laffoon added "This seems to be a clear indication that the builders that have the capability to buy feel that the housing market has bottomed, and that prices are low enough to jump in and buy."

Some of the major sales transactions included buyers like Richmond Homes, Meritage Homes, PH Investment, OLBO Land, Boulder Creek Builders, Taylor Morrison to name a few. Laffoon also noted that there were more lot sales transactions recorded in January that supported this trend.

Laffoon offered that "The Lot Sales Report is the most informative and comprehensive lot sales analysis you will find in the Denver housing market, as well as in Northern Colorado (Larimer and Weld Counties), and in El Paso and Pueblo Counties in southern Colorado."
