To qualify for the award recipients must have provided evidence of effective sales management techniques, procedures, communication, measurable sales growth, training and incentives.

Dunias met these qualifications for the award by maintaining consistent standards in sales, management and leadership. Dunias has been a Sales Director since December, 1983, and a Mary Kay Consultant since 1980. She reached her goals by promoting herself and by personally recruiting 30 people on her team. She has continued to build a sales force, providing motivation and training on a weekly basis. She coaches on sales techniques, management and leadership skills for those who choose to promote themselves. During this process she works to inspire, encourage, and provide sales tools and incentives, as well consistently working to set an example of excellence for her team members.

Over her career she had earned the use of 7 cars, plus has consistently completed personal retail requirements of $36,000+ for 19 years to be in the National Court for Personal Sales. In addition, she serves as a mentor to women recovering from addictions. She has worked with fund raising with a local hospice; helps raise funds to support women’s cancer research and funding for battered women’s shelters. She works with women’s shelters and rehabilitation facilities to help raise self esteem though skin care, color makeovers and personal pampering of hands and lips. Prior to becoming involved with Mary Kay, Dunias she was a teacher at Carrollton Farmers Branch Independent School District. Dunias owns another business, Baklava By Wilma-a Greek pastry of 30-40 layers of filo, walnuts, spices & butter enrobed in a honey based syrup, The resulting product is packaged by the dozen in a white box & closed with a gold seal.
