After years of singing separately, the Clever, Missouri couple Trevor and Darla Liverpool met just over ten years ago and as fate would have it became the duo, ToryCreek. Trevor and Darla met while Trevor attended the Officer Basic Course at Fort Leonard Wood, MO - quite by chance. After a short 69 day courtship, the couple married at a little country church on Tory Creek Road. Also quite by chance, they both sang Christian music years before meeting, in fact Trevor began singing in Guyana, South America, his country of origin. After moving to the US, he joined the Army just five months later.
Trevor managed to merge his singing talent with military service when he appeared on stage as a cast member in the US Army's globally touring Soldier Show. His has always been a calling to music ministry, which he answered in 2007 when he left active military service. The couple was forced to downsize as Trevor's departure coincided with the downturn in the US economy - experiences that served to inspire two of the songs on their debut album. The title track "Bid me Come" reveals the deep desire to serve God exactly the way He would want. "Choose to Believe" is a call to persistent faith in Christ in spite of where God leads, and the (bad) experiences one might endure. The album includes a bonus track "Building on The Rock" a honky tonk version of the song Darla recorded some years ago.
Today, Trevor is serving his country in the Middle East. His service arose from a sense of loyalty and commitment to finish what he started; completion of 20 years of service. Trevor has chosen to do this in the Reserve forces (for 3 more years) to give him a chance to attend to music ministry as well. They continue to write from the heart and will release a single in time for Easter 2012 and a full length album in the summer of 2012. "Bid me Come" by ToryCreek can be purchased on iTunes and Amazon. The duo is booking engagements for 2012 now, you may contact them at http://www.torycreekmusic.com.
