Design a Nightclub Idea Should be Brought to UK

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 28, 2011 -- Titan Nightclub Insurance welcomes the recent competition organised by brewers Heineken to get up and coming designers in several major cities to design a concept venue and wonders if the competition could be emulated in the UK.

Heineken invited top designers from Milan, New York, Sao Paulo and Tokyo to send in a portfolio which outlines the design of a concept nightclub. The designs had to be entered on a Facebook Page by 14th August and the winner will be revealed during the Milan Design Week; this takes place in April next year.

Designers with expertise in fashion, graphics, interiors, motion and products were invited to take part. Some 80 designers from each City are to be initially selected; a list which is eventually whittled down to 20 who then embark on what Heineken call a “..creative journey..” to create a concept led nightclub.

The process is lengthy and exhaustive because it includes ‘videologs’ which are designed to garner all different types of feedback.

“This was a great idea and it would be fun to see UK designers also given the chance to show off their talents in such a project. We can only hope that a similar competition is organised in future to include London and other UK cities. Such a competition would be very popular here.”
