WHAT: Design shapes our world, but for those constantly inundated with cultural, political and social messaging, the majestic creations of art and shape seem to disappear in the background. Take a step back with the Boston Center for Adult Education(BCAE) while you expand your knowledge and appreciation of the contribution of design in our lives with the second installment of the popular lecture series “Design Museum Boston: Eleven Lecture and Exhibit Tour."

On Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 from 6:00PM to 7:30PM, join representatives from the award-winning product design firm ELEVEN, as they share insight into the impact of design on the city of Boston, including a presentation on their creative process behind bringing an OXO kitchen product line to life.

ELEVEN is an award-winning, nationally recognized industrial design firm based in Boston, Massachusetts. ELEVEN specializes in branding, design management, research, engineering and product development. Clients include companies such as Gillette, Reebok and Microsoft.

Following the lecture, guests will have the opportunity to take an optional guided tour of Design Museum Boston’s inaugural exhibit, Creative Capital: Designed in Boston within the 9th floor walls of Boston City Hall.
