New York, NY – August 16, 2009 – Magnote, distributor of unique Japanese import goods, announced Sunday the availability of three new styles of PIPEROID paper craft robot kits in retails stores across the nation. All the available models are featured at the New York International Gift Fair in the General Gifts Museum Source section, booth #2955. In addition, PIPEROID designer Takashi Tsunoda today introduced two of his new products to the public for the first time: PNEUMA-BLOCK - wood blocks for philosophers - and KAMISABI - ghost figures recycled from paper trimmings.

Since their introduction to the US market in February, PIPEROIDs’ unique design and simplicity, requiring only 30 minutes to build one robot, have attracted a wide demographic and have reached over 50 museums, gift shops and toy stores across the nation in less than six months. Three new models released today - Tengking & Tsubuten, Count Mosqula & Onidevil, and Anotonio & Syrup - all come with original background stories and easy-to-follow pictorial instructions, increasing the total styles available to fourteen.

In addition to the new PIPEROID models, Japanese designer Takashi Tsunoda also released two of his newest creations today. PNEUMA-BLOCK is a set of four symmetrical wood blocks made by craftsmen in Japan, with a precise fit and superb quality. The variety of objects that can be formed from just four blocks are certain to inspire each individual’s hidden creativity.

Another product released today is KAMISABI, paper trimmings that are given new life as ghosts. The product is packaged with two sheets of paper with punch-outs to create a total of eight ghost figures, which can be used as memo holders, bookmarks, or just figures for decoration.

PIPEROIDs are now available in fourteen different models and retail for between $12 and $18. PNEUMA-BLOCK will be available at museums and upscale retail stores in October with a suggested retail price of $139. KAMISABI will also be available in October at gift shops and stationery stores with the suggested retail price of $6.95.
