...and it does make us laugh that even groups that organize job fairs are starting to recognize that job fairs suck. They're starting to promote their same old events as "networking events" now, or renaming "lunch break" as "networking time" to try and suck you in. Whatever. Those of you who have been around the block with us a few times now and have read our previous entries know what they are: they're chameleons (http://www.detroitnet.org/index.php/217/crazy-daves-house-of-deals/) looking for their next insect to munch on. So...I guess our advice is "don't be that fly" this time. Ha ha, I crack me up...

Yeah, I know - "shut up, funny boy...and get to the jobs already".

We're almost there, I promise.

Don't forget that the Pink Fund (http://www.thepinkfund.org) will be on hand tonight. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, we've partnered up with them yet again to help raise funds that stay local and help local victims of breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds from drinks sold tonight will be donated (huge thanks to Darrel and the rest of the Post Bar family!) to the Pink Fund...and even with that in mind, there are still going to be some ridiculously cheap drink specials going on that night. Hard Luck Candy vodkas, Three Olives vodkas, Corona, half price appetizers, and a special Pink Fund Martini...all great specials and low prices. Plus, the Pink Fund is a 501c3 organization, so if you're feeling generous and want to make a donation directly (and you can!), it's tax deductible!
