FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Dallas/Fort Worth,
Texas,
United States of America
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 9, 2011 --
The Dallas Fort Worth American Marketing Association (DFW AMA) will host Allison Cerra, Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs for Alcatel-Lucent in the Americas Region, at the Alcatel-Lucent Executive Briefing Center on March 25, 2011 at 11:30 a.m.
Fresh off an extensive 18-month primary research study into the effects of consumer-driven media, Cerra sees a telecom industry in faster transformation than most providers can keep up with. The Web has transformed the way consumers in general, and marketers in particular, communicate and interact with each other and customers, and in her speech Cerra will highlight how the old Web 1.0 business models must be transformed to address these new opportunities and customers.
Whereas text-heavy communication, flat rate broadband pricing, and proprietary applications characterized Web 1.0, Web 2.0 emphasizes video-heavy communication, metered broadband pricing, and leveraged developer applications. And where networks are leveraged as development platforms, Cerra sees a $100 billion market opportunity.
Attendees should leave the event with greater knowledge of the commercial impact of Generations X and Y (or the “Millennials,” as she calls them) on the value chain; of the Consumer 2.0 Influence; of the 2.0 Ecosystem Stakeholders; and of the influence that a shifting and evolving technological landscape will have on healthcare, education, and government, and on marketers to reach small businesses and enterprises.
Seating is limited. Register now to reserve a place. No walk-ups will be accepted after capacity has been reached. Lunch buffet will be served. Interested parties can register online. For those who register before March 25th the cost is $20 for members and $30 for guests. On March 25th the fee increases by $10. To secure the member rate, join the DFW AMA online today.
