Diabetes Screening at Community Health Fair - Bronx, NY

Estimates are as high as 1 out of 3 members of these populations over the age of 30 are diabetic, yet 1 out of 4 are not aware they have the deadly disease. At the last health fair, 2 individuals were identified who needed immediate medical care, a woman with a blood sugar reading of 408, a diabetic reading 4 times normal and a man with a blood pressure reading of 220/110, a walking stroke.

The Franklin Junior Foundation is an International Foundation catering to the needs of the poor and near poor around the world. In many areas around the country and around the world, diabetes takes a toll on those who are not educated about its dangers and who may not be able to afford proper care.

The Foundation is adding the Healthy Water Initiative to its mission to provide food and clothing to the needy. Franklin Oleh, the groups President and Founder is committed to providing health screening, health education and access to healthy water to people around the world.

The Health Fair in the Bronx, NY will be from 2PM to 5PM on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the Foundation's Headquarters at 95E 161st St, Bronx, NY on the 2nd Fl.

Health screening will be performed by nurses and then participants will be treated to a seminar on effective, natural treatments for chronic diseases.
