Created by critically acclaimed digital creator Daryn Strauss, Digital Chick TV is a newly launched website meant to connect women to online programming. A bit of Lifetime Online with some ivillage thrown in, not only does Digital Chick TV give you the ability to watch all of the best female-centric online series in one place, DCTV also includes interviews from digital celebrities, guest blogs from top female digital creators, and opportunities to interact.
Check out the most recent interview with Emmy nominee Beth Chamberlin, ex-Beth on Guiding Light and now one of the stars of two web series, Steamboat and Cell: The Web Series, plus guest blogs by Anyone But Me's Tina Cesa Ward, Hitch star Julie Ann Emery, and We are With the Band co-creators Heleya de Barros and Vivian Kerr. Digital Chick TV creator Daryn Strauss recently spoke on GRITtv with Laura Flanders to advocate for increasing the visibility of women in digital media. Named a "fresh and strong voice" by NewTeeVee for her work as director/writer/producer/star of Downsized, Daryn was recently featured in the May/June issue of Script Magazine as an up-and-coming digital scribe. She was one of the first 22 writers signed by the Writers Guild of America, East to help pioneer their digital media division. Chosen as one of the best shows on the web for YouTube, Downsized was recently invited to screen at the Cologne Conference in Germany, along with HBO's Treme and Temple Grandin and Mad Men.
