The curriculum was designed not only to expertise the traditional digital marketing professionals but also for those who haven't leverage Social Media Marketing yet. The workshop supported by NASSCOM EMERGE, TiE DELHI, SEMPO (USA) and Alootechie, was a wholesome package of actionable use of SMM with fun interactions, discussions, case studies, quizzes, competitions and hands-on exercises.
One of the participants Deepak Srivastva, President, Broadway Consulting India, shared his view, "I used to find myself a very strong marketing person in the field of traditional marketing till now but with the transition in the phase, I think it is very important to get updated to social media marketing. Today's generation is born and brought up in IT and to compete with them it is very important to get used to the digital as the medium to engage with them."
The Facebook community building was the most influential and interactive hands on exercises in the workshop. "The Fan page that we made on Facebook was like an eye-opener. The knowledge that I got with it could have only come after doing it. This workshop has given me a chance to analyze the insights of why a brand works or does not work on Social Media," said Saurabh Nigam from Ericsson.
"Social Media Marketing is an evolving process. After the workshop everyone will go back with the tools to practice social media but converting it to real results will take little time.
