Director Richard Friedman Will Showcase his Contemporary Film at the Action on Film Festival

Pasadena, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) June 3, 2011 -- Pasadena, CA – Producer and director, Richard Friedman will be showcasing his film, “5th & Alameda” at Pasadena’s annual Action on Film Festival. Attracting thousands of filmmakers, writers, fans, and celebrities, the festival will screen more than 600 independent films from filmmakers abroad. In addition to the screenings, the festival will also host celebrity dinners, an award show, and a renowned red carpet event from July 22 through the 30th.

Friedman’s “5th & Alameda” is the story of Sara, a pregnant woman who is an innocent bystander in a robbery. After Derek, the robber, comes to Sara’s house, Sara is presented with the opportunity to seek vengeance on the criminal.

Shot in downtown Los Angeles, the film features award-winning star Saye Yabandeh as Sara, and Corey Sevier of “The Immortals” as Derek. Also featured in the film are notable stars Mario Van Peebles and Vince Lozano.

Richard Friedman says, “the performance of the cast is unbelievable.. it was so exciting to make the film with such talented people.”
