(Free-Press-Release.com) February 18, 2012 -- IGSSS works for the youth on their educational rights, promoting their employ-ability and harmony among youth in a conflict areas, encouraging Disaster Relief Organizations with active citizenship and on a best networking and policy advocacy. The facilitation of youth development takes place through a right based approach. The primary objective of Disaster Risk Reduction project is to mobilize vulnerable youth for increased awareness towards services, entitlements and rights through promotion and developing positive thinking.

Indo-Global Social Service Society keep up with the pace of present frequency and intensity of Disaster Risk Reduction in all over India. There for IGSSS has established Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) team in the year 2010. This team works with great efforts for Earthquake Relief, Disaster Relief in India and mainstreaming for disaster reduction,emergency response, issues concerning climate change and developing relevant policy, their life. The emergency response team is trained to work strictly as a leading Disaster Relief Organizations and emergency response operation.
Achievement of IGSSS In India:-
1.Right Based Community Risk Reduction Initiative in Brahmaputra Basin of Assam is being implemented in the North Lakhimpur District
IGSSS and SPHERE
1. IGSSS plays a critical role in North East and particularly in Assam
2.The IAG- Assam secretariat has been appreciated by IGSSS
The Seed of Change
1.IGSSS developed DRR implementing in flood rehabilitation project in Assam supported by Welthungerhilfe and ECHO

2.IGSSS received accreditation certificate for its contribution in developing good practices for Disaster risk reduction.
Significance of the Response
The emergency response is the first case of IGSSS accessing DANIDA Mat Aid (Material Aid)
HAP (Humanitarian Accountability Partnership) was tried by IGSSS
