Dischromatics was established in 1989 when floppy disks and vinyl records were the standard media formats. This company became the first company in the world to achieve and perfect full colour picture printing on five and a quarter inch white vinyl floppy disks. Since those early days, things have moved on at great pace, with firstly the introduction of the compact discs, then digital video disks and currently Blu-ray being the new standard HD format. There are however products in development.

The 10% discount offered to members of Community Music Wales extends to the complete range of products and services currently available but will extend to new developments as they come on line. Production of these products can be supplied in short run using a standard production process. For larger runs of 500 or more we can offer fully manufactured discs with stampers created from glass mastering. Dischromatics is a long standing UK partner of Sony DADC and is the only company in Wales that has this coveted partnership.

Discs can be supplied in an array of colours as well as black vinyl for the retro look, even old style vinyl records can be pressed, they are also available in colours, shapes and with picture printing but the starting quantities for these would normally be larger. There is a large assortment of standard packaging options from simple sleeves to jewel cases and card wallets. Help is always on hand to offer advice in the selection and samples are available. With a Digital Printing facility on the premises, Dischromatics produces their own disc packaging and will supply small runs of specialised packaging like Digipaks normally only available in large volumes and much used by the more established artists and groups. Due to their advantageous ability to print in-house, the product pricing will be more attractive and with the inclusion of the applied 10% discount, small budgets will go much further. With variable data software being used with the digital printer it is possible to create direct mail postings.

Dischromatics has a professional Graphic Design department that can help to create or modify existing artwork and there are many templates available to help anyone that wants to do their own design work. For anyone wishing to create a video, Digital Video disc authoring is another facility available with the available discount. Quality is an issue which should not be understated as there are many companies who purchase Compact Discs and DVD on the open market at cheap prices but are not always fit for purpose.
