This will be the last year for the Ford Escape with its current body style and it is readily available near Charlottesville, VA.

For the 2013 model year, the Ford Escape is being completely redesigned, and will feature body line very similar to the current Ford Focus. This will give the Escape even better gas mileage than it already gets. Currently the Escape is offered with a hybrid engine that nets drivers 31 miles per gallon on the highway. When the 2013 model comes out Ford has decided to scrap the hybrid version, choosing instead to utilize their own EcoBoost engines.

The EcoBoost engines are becoming widely popular with drivers. These engines provide one of two different options depending on their utilization. In the trucks, such as the F-150, the EcoBoost engine adds significantly more horsepower without losing precious gas mileage. Similarly, but still differently, when placed in smaller cars, the EcoBoost engines allow drivers to increase gas milage without losing any power. No longer are power and fuel efficiency mutually exclusive.

The Escape offers drivers the space and versatility that comes with owning an SUV, but due to its smaller size and engine lineup gives buyers the fuel economy that is so important now.
