Discover new research on entrepreneurship in Taiwan

Volume 15, issue 5 is guest edited by Ming- Huei Chen of National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan and Chung-Jen Chen of the National Taiwan University, Taiwan.

The special issue is made up of a collection of six articles that cover a diverse range of topics. Previously research published relating to entrepreneurship has focussed on regions like North America and Western Europe. This special issue gives much deserved attention to the emerging economy of Taiwan.

Articles within the issue include ‘Typology and performance of new ventures in Taiwan: A model based on opportunity recognition and entrepreneurial creativity’ by Ming- Huei Chen and Yan- Jun Yang; ‘Strategic technology sourcing in corporate ventures: A study of Taiwanese pharmaceutical firms’ by Yuan-Chieh Chang, Yi-Che Chen, Ting-Kuei Kuo and ‘The effects of relational embeddedness on entrepreneurship: Taiwanese subsidiaries in China’ by Cheng-an Tsai and Chao-Tung Wen

This issue aims to strengthen our understanding of the affect of entrepreneurship on the firms and industries of the nation. Providing a mixture of theoretical and empirical studies, the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research in line with Emerald’s philosophy of ‘Research you can use’ provides practical lessons for entrepreneurial practitioners and policy makers based on the Taiwanese experience.

The International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour delivers comprehensive and accessible research, presenting an improvement in our understanding of entrepreneurial behaviour in adverse cultural settings.
