PhoneBeagle captures events, such as, phone location using GPS or network location, call logs, MMS Multi-Media Messages (images and video), Website Visit History, and SMS Text-Messages, stores them on the phone, and then uploads to a web account using WiFi or other data plans such as 3G, EDGE, GPRS, etc. From the web account events can be reviewed. It works on Android and BlackBerry mobile phones on all networks and carriers.

PhoneBeagle uses the phones built-in GPS capability to flag activity that occurs while the phone is moving beyond a minimum speed. Events are kept in an encoded secure database and can be viewed and printed. Encoded security means only the account owner can look at information. Nothing is installed on a computer, but files can be saved to the computer.

Surveys of teens show a lack of understanding and very little concern about distracted driving. Legal experts believe that both Parents and Employers need to address the issue of distracted driving. Numerous studies show that regulations alone are not enough to solve the problem.
