He proposed to his high school flame Savannah Brinson at a New Year Eve’s bash, which also celebrated his 27th birthday, the day before. Engagement Sparks off More Parties, On Court

The news of James and Brinson’s engagement elated divorce attorneys, James’ friends and court associates, and fans of the game. There was an outpouring of congratulatory messages on Twitter—most notably from Miami Heat owner Micky Arison and bosom buddy Chris Paul—even before James’ representative went public with an announcement for the Associated Press.

James’ team members took to the celebrations on to the court. Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers, Dwayne Wade, Joel Anthony, and co. decided that the union of two soul mates called for nothing less than trouncing the Charlotte Bobcats 129-90, as James cheered from the sidelines. This victory landed up the Heat with an awe-inspiring 5-0 start, the first time ever for the franchise in their 24 seasons. The Heat are the team to beat and they proved this by smashing the Mavericks on opening day. It did not even matter if the Mavericks picked up Lamar Odom; they were no match for the talent and energy that the Heat bring to the table.

LeBron James and Savannah Brinson, the parents of two sons, have not yet announced a wedding date. But divorce attorneys hope that it is soon and that they are not called in afterwards.
