We ask Hometipter.com founding member why introduce such a system? Graham stated; “Hometipster.com has always been about helping people with their DIY and Gardening issues. As you know we provide many guides and videos but the ANSWERS system was the next logical step for us. The first thing we tried was a Forum based system but forums can be confusing with multiple threads being produced from each subject. With ANSWERS it’s more clear and concise and this helps our visitors to get exactly what they want… answers for their questions.”

Looking over the DIY and Gardening ANSWERS system it certainly is impressive. It’s very easy to use and registration is easy with the use of a Facebook, Twitter or OpenID account. Folks can even register if they don’t have a social network account.

The question we wanted to ask is; “Is there room on the web for another Q&A system?” Again Graham responded, “Personally I think most information websites should have one. People want information, and generally they want information for a specific subject matter. One of the reasons Hometipster.com is successful is due to our ability to provide information to two distinct areas, DIY and Gardening. We’re already seeing people register and using the ANSWERS system. Some people are asking questions while others are helping by giving answers. I like the idea that people can help one another and this new offering, to our ever growing website, provides are true sense of community and that is why we were so keen to introduce ANSWERS.”
