Doeren Mayhew Helps Women Dress for Success

Taylor, Michigan, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 19, 2012 -- TROY, MICHIGAN – Doeren Mayhew, Troy-based certified public accounting and management consulting firm, announced today that their Women's Initiative Group successfully concluded a month long clothing drive for Lighthouse of Oakland County's CareerDress. Laurie Horvath, co-chair of the Doeren Mayhew Women's Initiative Group, said, "As a group of women working
together to promote women in the workplace, a connection with CareerDress felt like the best fit for our charitable drive."

"We were overwhelmed with interest and donations, and very pleased to donate more than 200 items to CareerDress this week," added Horvath.

John Ziraldo, President and CEO of Lighthouse of Oakland County thanked Doeren Mayhew for their generous contributions. "Career Dress is an entirely volunteer run organization that provides appropriate clothing and accessories to women entering the job market who do not have the resources to obtain their own career wear," said Ziraldo. "Often times, appropriate dress is the largest obstacle preventing career-ready women from entering the workforce," added Ziraldo.

"Donations and support from firms like Doeren Mayhew are vital to helping these women confidently enter the job market."

The Doeren Mayhew Women's Initiative was reorganized in 2011 with the purpose of promoting a quality business environment conducive to the retention and advancement of women. The Women's Initiative Group provides educational opportunities, networking events, and mentoring programs to all professional women at the firm.

Since its creation in 2002, CareerDress has assisted over 1,600 at need Oakland County women who are hoping to enter the work force.
