About the event
Newport Beach photographers, Brian and Jennifer Gilmore love dogs. They decided it was time to let their passion of photography help a few animals in need, so they came up with the Dog Days of Summer charity event.

Everyone is invited to bring their furry family members down to the studio on August 26th for a quick photo shoot. "Some good friends of ours adopted their dog from GSROC a few years ago and were so happy with the whole experience" says Jennifer, "when we came up with the Dog Days concept, we knew we already had a charity in mind." The food and other donations will be delivered to the dog rescue on the following day.

They knew they would need help to make the event a success. So Brian got on the phone and found some great sponsors to donate goods. So far they have gotten donations from Centinella Feed and Pet Supplies, Natura Pet Products, Canidae All Natural Pet Food, and The Baby Guy (custom pet beds).

Their 1/2 acre garden studio is near the Newport Back Bay. Sessions are by appointment only and will be from 9am to 7pm. To book your session, please contact the studio at 949.645.5382 or email us at info@jennifergilmore.com.



About Jennifer Gilmore

Jennifer has been taking photos since she was old enough to shoot a camera. She was the yearbook and newspaper photographer at Newport Harbor high school and went on to take numerous photo classes in college. Jennifer received her Bachelor's in Behavioral Science - Psychology - then pursued her real passion - photography!
She started working for a local wedding photographer and booked her very first wedding in 2002. That is when Brian started shooting with her side by side.
Jennifer's goal is to capture the true personality of her clients. Whether it be an innocent newborn, a playful baby, a toddler that likes to get into everything, a favorite pet, or the love between a family - Jennifer's approach is photo-journalistic and candid.




About the German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (www.gsroc.com)

German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (GSROC) is a non-profit 501c(3) charity organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing purebred German Shepherd Dogs that have no where else to turn. We are an all volunteer organization with no paid staff. We are funded entirely by private donations and receive no government support. Dogs for adoption are housed in foster home situations and in private boarding facilities. Currently, we do not own our own kennel facility, but our dream is to have one some day so that we can eliminate the tremendous expense associated with boarding the dogs while they wait for their forever families.
