Dog Potty Training Trick Gets Your Dog To Go On Command
One Slick Dog Potty Training Trick Gets Him Or Her To Go On Command...
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 7, 2009 --
Teaching your dog to go on command can help you when you are
in a situation facing cold wheather or when you are in a hurry
to go somewhere.
When you teach your dog to go on command and you have mastered
this skill, you will literally be able to say one, two or
three words and he or she will "go" when they hear those words.
Believe me, this will make your world much easier when you are.
Here's how you can master this dog potty training skill set with
your dog:
Before you start, decide which commands you're going to use.
You can use "Hurry up", "Do your business," or "Get going".
These are popular choices but you can always use your own
word or words to make it happen. The only key is to use these
commands consistently and at the right time of course.
You should plan on taking two to four weeks of staying
consistent and reinforcing the "go on command" technique into
your dog.
When you take your dog out to his or her potty area you should
be as quiet and as observant as possible. You shouldn't talk
to anybody while doing this. Only be on keen observation and
hardly make any bodily movements. Be sure not to let your
dog try to entice you to take him or her on a walk before he
or she goes potty either.
As soon as you see your dog get into position to go you should
repeat your command several times speaking calmly and relatively
quietly. There is no need to make a big commotion while he is
going but it is very important that you say your commands while
he is going. This is also why you need to remain really
observant during this process because you have to catch him
in the act and then speak your commands.
After he or she finishes going, be sure to give him or her a
treat and use a lot of praise, "Good boy, Good girl". Be sure
to give him or her some play time or take him or her for a walk.
Remember, the magic trick to making all of this dog potty training
stuff work is you being consistent.
Repeat the process for at least a week or two every time you
take your dog to his or her potty spot. After about a week you
can attempt to test your command.
In order to test your command you should take him or her
directly to his or her potty spot and give the command only
once. If he or she starts looking for a spot and starts to
go right away, give her some praise and a treat right away.
If she doesn't start looking for a spot just continue your
"going on command" dog potty training with her another week before
testing again.
Talk to you soon
