FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 14, 2009 --
Dominican Republic, December 14, 2009 - NIC.DO (the organization responsible for .DO domain delegations) launched on December 10, 2009 the first stage for second level .DO domain names. Currently NIC.DO accepts the open registration of third level domains (.com.do, .net.do, .org.do, etc.) but on December 10, 2009 NIC.DO started accepting the open registration of .do (i.e. domain.do).
During the first stage, from December 10, 2009 until March 10, 2010, only holders of .com.do, .net.do, .org.do, etc. domains registered before October 30, 2009 may apply for the corresponding .do domain name.
If two people request the same domain name, priority will be given to the person who has the registration under the third level for the longest period.
After March 10, 2010, .do domains will be open to the public for registration.
.DO domain registration fees will vary depending on the registrar and the service package chosen. For example Marcaria.com will have a price of USD 240 (2-year registration).
In order to register your .DO domain in Dominican Republic with registrar Marcaria.com please go to www.marcaria.com and select .DO in the Central America Region, or click the following URL: http://www.marcaria.com/register/domain/domain_registration_do.asp.
