Don’t Forget the Lyrics teams up with Hire a Hero to support the Military

Hire A Hero is asking it’s members if they can sign for a change to win 50K or more in Prizes

(Free-Press-Release.com) July 13, 2010 --Oakland, CA --- Hire A Hero 501(c)(3) has partnered with Don’t Forget the Lyrics (season 5) to help bring awareness to military transition and veteran unemployment awareness. Hire A Hero members will have a chance to compete to win $1,000,000.00.
“Being a contestant will not only bring awareness to our viewers across the U.S but will help Hire A Hero boost support and help from many people not aware of the Hire A Hero program”, said Jen Apploff, Casting Director/Assistance Segment Producer, of Don’t Forget the Lyrics.
Rob Barr, Executive Director of Hire A Hero said “It’s great and a fun way to bring awareness to our organization. It will be nice to see our members compete against each other for a chance to win $50K or more.”
Producers are looking for fun and interesting veterans, from all branches of service, who are knowledgeable of song lyrics and are willing to sing their heart out in front of a live audience! Young or old, a Motown lover or country fanatic, all the matters is locking in the correct lyrics for a large cash prize!
To participate veterans need to be registered on Hire A Hero and be able to attend two auditions in the Los Angeles area between July 13th-23rd with taping to begin the last week of July. About Don’t Forget the Lyrics
Don’t forget the lyrics, now in it’s 5th season, is a singing game show that originally aired on Fox hosted by Mark McGrath, lead singer of Sugar Ray, will debut in syndication September 2010. The show’s contestants compete to win $1,000,000 by correctly recalling song lyrics for a variety of genres.
