Dorene Wiese Leads Chicago Urban American Indian Leaders In Native American Month Forum on New Educational Standards
Dr. Dorene Wiese, President of the American Indian Association and the Medicine Shield College program will lead a forum with Chicago Urban American Indian Leaders on new educational standards in CPS.

Dr. Dorene Wiese, President of the American Indian Association and the Medicine Shield College program will lead a forum with local Urban American Indian Leaders on new common core educational standards in the Chicago Public Schools.
Leaders will focus efforts on designing new approaches to improve academic achievement in the context of the common core standards in Illinois, for American Indian students who in many school districts have the highest drop out rates of any group.
Dr. Wiese has extensive experience in designing and implementing successful academic programs for American Indian high school students, American Indian drop out students, and American Indian college students.
