(Free-Press-Release.com) September 21, 2009 -- EBM Technologies announces that the abstract titled ‘Electronic Dental Records and PACS in the Dental Community Health Sector’ - co-presented by Dr Jeff Burgess, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for EBM Technologies USA, LLC, and Marc Capots, Special Markets Technology Manager for Henry Schein, has been selected by the NNOHA Abstract Committee to be presented at the National Primary Oral Health Conference in Nashville, TN, Nov. 2-4, 2009.

Discussed in this one hour presentation will be the use of electronic dental records and digital imaging technology and how these digital upgrades within community dental health centers can improve workflow efficiency and dental diagnostics, and also promote the quality of health care, particularly in cases of chronic illness. Important items of discussion will include needs assessment, financial considerations and cost, finding funding, creating a Request for Proposal (RFP), vendor selection, the guarantee of security (encryption) and confidentiality (HIPPA), standards for compliance (DICOM), and system implementation and training. Information will also be presented regarding some of the technical issues associated with initiation of an EDR and PACS.
