DR JOSEPH DANGELO MEETS WITH SENATOR HARRY REID IN LAS VEGAS

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 27, 2009 -- Las Vegas, Nevada - 2009-11-27 - When Dr. Joseph D'Angelo walked into the meeting room, Senator Harry Reid greeted him warmly, "Dr. D'Angelo, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Dr. D'Angelo got right down to the business of explaining Joshua's Community, a permanent solution to homelessness in Las Vegas.

In question: The conveyance and usage 8 sections of surplus federal with water rights, near the Piute Indian Reservation. The BLM originally quoted Dr. D'Angelo $80 per acre - one half billion dollars, payable over four years.

Dr. D'Angelo wants the BLM to donate the land, under the McKinney Vento Act of 1987, which sites circumstances under which land may be conveyed for public use.

With 7000 homeless children in the Clark County School System already under the protection of McKinney Vento with regard to education, a donation of surplus land, 29 miles away from the Las Vegas Strip, would provide an area for housing for these children, their families and other homeless people.

Senator Reid left the meeting in favor of and with a clear understanding of Dr. D'Angelo's vision.

Bob Ross, an executive manager with the BLM-Las Vegas, has been identified as the man in charge of decisions regarding land conveyance. He is scheduled to meet with Dr. D'Angelo and tour the sections requested. The power of the pen however, appears to rest with Nevada's BLM's Bob Abby or the Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar.
