DraftSharks.com Wins Fantasy Sports Trade Association’s Accuracy Award

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 31, 2011 -- Pittsford, NY – January 31, 2011 – Draftsharks.com outpaced 20 other fantasy websites in the 2010 Fantasy Sports Trade Association’s Accuracy Challenge for fantasy football projections. DraftSharks.com was announced as the award winner at the FSTA’s annual Awards Banquet, this year held on January 25 at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

“When they announced our name, I almost fell out of my chair,” said Draftsharks.com founder, Lenny Pappano. “It’s not that I doubted our ability at doing projections – but we were up against some very talented folks, including last year’s rankings winner, CBSSportsline.com, as well as ESPN.com.”
Draftsharks.com senior editor, Jared Smola, was also in attendance at the FSTA Awards Banquet, and accepted the award. “"I think our systematic approach to doing these projections really helped us out here,” said Smola. “Plus, we're never afraid to think outside the box and go against the conventional wisdom."
All 21 sites submitted their fantasy football projections in late-August, just prior to the 2010 NFL season. The predictions were tracked through the entire regular season.

The fantasy football projections accuracy award is sponsored by the FSTA in conjunction with Sara Holladay of the Fantasy Football Librarian, and Donnie Campbell of The Most Credible.
