Drawing For Toys Event To Raise Toys And Money For Toys For Tots

Sacramento, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 7, 2011 -- Once again the holiday season is upon us and that means that the Sacramento Comics Creator Group and other comic book artists from around California will once again Toys For Totsgather to put their talents to work for the annual “Drawing for Toys” event to benefit the “Toys For Tots” charity. The event will take place at the Empire’s Comic Vault in Sacramento, California on Saturday, December 17th from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm.

The artists will be creating original pieces of art which will be auctioned off throughout the day; artists will take commission requests for $30.00.

Those that come to the event are asked to bring a new unwrapped gift for “Toys For Tots”. All proceeds from the auctioned and commissioned artwork will go to the “Toys For Tots” charity.

Hosting the “Drawing for Toys” event will be Jason Dube founder of the SCCG and creator of such comics as “Panda Days”, “Caffeine Poisoned”, “Scattered”, and “Shadow Hunters”; joining Jason will be the Bay Area’s “Horror Babe” Horror Hostess Miss Misery

Also on hand will be the Sacramento Ghostbusters, kids can ride in the Ecto-1 Truck, see anime themed hot rods presented by “Team Love Hate”, meet the “Toys For Tots” Marines, and of course meet Santa.

Last year we raised $1,200.00 and filled 3 large bins with toys. Help us beat this record by bringing in a new unwrapped toy and by buying some one of a kind artwork and most of all help some kids have a very happy holiday season.
