Dreamcatchers for Abused Children is pleased to announce their new Chief Financial Officer, Benford Standley.
Mr. Standley is well known for his work with children. He has spent the last three decades working to better the conditions faced by millions of homeless, runaway and missing children of our nation, working with the United States Department of Justice, The F.B.I., The Texas Rangers, and several congressional committees and legislators.
He's wrote two books and hundreds of letters that speak towards the historic abuse that falls upon our nation's children and youth.
Mr. Standley has produced several large symposiums regarding children and youth. He also wrote some of the first legislation in the state of Texas benefiting this population, and co-produced two videos that has received National awards and recognition.
Over the years, he has produced numerous benefits for organizations helping to stem the historic tide that falls upon these millions of children, co-creating an award winning video about runaway children with Michael Martin Murphey, and co-producing a music video with Native American Robby Romero entitled "All The Missing Children."
His first Internet Webcast in 1995 was a benefit for Children of the Night and in 2008 he produced the first annual The State and Fate of Children.
Currently Standley is organizating the KUD Foundation for Kids, which will be a foundation to produce a "Farm Aid/ Live Aid/We Are The World music event" to benefit groups that help the homeless, runaway, missing and abused children and youth, which will include Dreamcatchers for Abused Children, and set up a Wilderness Ranch for homeless/runaway kids.
Dreamcatchers for Abused Children was founded by Sandra Dawn Potter of Sanilac County, Michigan in 2007. Dreamcatchers for Abused Children is an official not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 child abuse and neglect awareness organization dedicated to educating the public on the signs, symptoms, prevention, intervention and recovery of child abuse.
In 2009, Potter teamed up with author and fellow advocate Donna Kshir to create a series of books to further educate the public on domestic violence, teen dating violence, child abuse and neglect.
In addition to Ms. Kshir, Potter works with a small group of highly dedicated Board of Directors, Regional Directors and Volunteers to educate the public in hopes of ending this World-wide epidemic. For more information, visit; http://www.dreamcatchersforabusedchildren.com
