Child abuse and domestic violence are both major concerns in this county, but both are easily overlooked and somewhat forgotten. Taking a stand in the fight against child abuse and domestic violence are authors and child abuse advocates Donna M. Kshir and Sandra Potter. Both women are trying to educate the public through their educational, self-help books.
Each book contains an extremely abusive situation in the form of a story, but the book also comes complete with an edcational section assisting victims and survivors in seeking the help they so desperately need; advice, tips, escape plans, hotline numbers and resources.
On January 9, 2010, the writing duo will release their third book together,"One Step Ahead of Fate." The book is being released by Publish America. This is Kshir's second release with Publish America and Potter's first.
"One Step Ahead of Fate" is a raw detailed account of a young woman’s dramatic story of domestic violence. Every woman dreams of meeting the perfect man, but no woman dreams of being physically and sexually abused, tortured or held hostage in their own home.
This powerful story will take our reader through the vicious cycle of abuse, shattered dreams, broken promises and the brutal reality of having to fight just to stay alive. After surviving being hit, kicked, punched, slapped, raped, stalked and beaten daily for over five years she finally manages to escape.
Her road to recovery would be a long, emotional battle, but new beginnings would soon follow as she desperately struggles to regain back her life and her dignity. This must-read shocking story will also provide domestic violence education, advice, tips, escape plans, hotline numbers and resources.
Both women are best known and respected for their hard work and dedication to Dreamcatchers for Abused Children, a 501(c)3 non-profit child abuse and neglect awareness organization. Potter is the CEO & Founder, and Kshir sits on the Board of Directors.
Kshir writes under the pen names Donna Kshir and Donna M. Kshir.
Books are available exclusively at Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, Publishamerica.com and other fine online book stores.
