DrLove.com Releases 15 Years Of Free Advice Columns
The Web's pioneering relationship advice site gets a modern design and feature makeover, with over 2000 advice columns now in an easy to search database, and with more updates on the way.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 13, 2010 --
Dr. Love.com has just rolled out a completely new site design that combines modern Web 2.0 features with an attractive "old-school” style that refers its pioneering status on the Web. The most impressive feature of the new site are the searchable archives using keywords, topics, taxonomy categories, and more. If users are too shy to ask their own question, this treasure trove of Dr Love’s wisdom may have just the answer they need.
Other new features include: social bookmarking links to quickly tag articles on Facebook, Digg, Delicious, Reddit, Yahoo and Google Buzz, and dozens of other sites; saving favorite Dr. Love articles and pages to user's accounts; and for anyone who wants to add their own advice or opinions, comments for all articles are now open to non-registered users.
DrLove, aka, Dr. Jamie Turndorf, Ph.D., created the Web’s first professional love advice column, AskDrLove.com, over fifteen years ago. Since then she has been personally answering users’ questions every week, accumulating an archive of several thousand columns in the process. No other online therapy site has maintained such consistency and longevity.
Dr. Turndorf is an acclaimed relationship expert and author of the bestselling Till Death Do Us Part (Unless I Kill Your First): A Step-By-Step Guide for Resolving Relationship Conflict, which has been endorsed by such luminaries as Dr. John Gray, John Bradshaw, and Dr. John Mack of Harvard. She is known not only for her expertise, but her passion and devotion to her advice column, which she describes as a “free ministry” whose mission is to help people find love and joy in successful relationships. In addition to her work on the Web, she’s made numerous appearances on radio and TV, including CNN, Later Today, Fox Five, America's Talking, Inside Edition, VH1, and many others.
Upcoming feature additions will focus on “socializing” relationship advice and allowing users to share their own wisdom and experiences. First, an open forum will be offered for registered users to discuss relationship issues amongst themselves. While a forum is not revolutionary, Dr. Turndorf considers it vital in creating more user involvement. However, a more cutting-edge feature, a “User’s Answer” section, will post questions for users to answer that she's chosen not to answer, while a Digg-style voting system will allow rating the questions and answers. This new feature alone will place Dr Love.com in the forefront of relationship advice sites.
