January 17, 2012 Criminal news in Los Angeles,California, United States of America

A Los Angeles beach resort was the scene New Years day for a very unhappy local drug dealer as he was arrested for drugs possession and driving under the influence.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 17, 2012 -- When a local security guard decided to help out a driver, by informing him he was driving with no lights, he didn't expect events to turn so quickly. Mark Booth, a security guard for South Bay Security LLC, was on patrol at his usual post in Redondo Beach. Noticing a mini van driving with no lights on he signaled to the driver, who pulled over.
" I immediately knew something was wrong" Officer Booth said." When he stepped out of the vehicle he had no shoes on and was having difficulty doing up his pants."

After observing the man for some minutes and noting his erratic behavior Officer Booth decided to call in Redondo Beach police. Informing them that the man in question had difficulty finding the right gear (he was using the indicator lever instead of the gear shift) and his general incoherency the police officers removed the man from his vehicle and searched both him and the mini van.
Finding the mans wallet the police officers checked it for his identification, with his drivers license they also found a bag that was suspected to hold a small amount of crack cocaine. Even though it was found in his wallet, the man denied all knowledge of its presence. He was promptly arrested for possession and his vehicle was towed away.

What started out as an act of kindness on the part of Officer Booth turned out to be a night where a driver under the influence of drugs was perhaps prevented from causing an accident that may have caused serious injury or even death. All in all a good nights work by South Bay Security and Officer Booth.
