A judicial official said that three years after the Supreme Court confirmed the death
sentence against a Pakistani who killed a young Emirati woman in Sharjah, the court
is now reviewing the case to find out more information about the crime.
A man identified as S.K was accused of murdering his employer's daughter in 2006.
He was accused of stabbing the newly married woman 30 times. He was sentenced
to death by the Sharjah Sharia court and the Federal Supreme Court then confirmed
the sentence. The man has been on death row since 2007.
g 19 year old, N.A, and charged with trespassing into her house. The victim's
husband had dropped her at home in the Al Azra area and then went to evening
prayers at a mosque.
The accused went to deliver some laundry to the house and one of the housemaids
reportedly let him in, according to police.
The victim allegedly scolded the gardener upon seeing him in the house.
Initial interrogations revealed that S.K. snatched a kitchen knife and stabbed her
several times.
Police later arrested S.K. who was hiding in the area.
On the day of the murder, S.K. was bringing N.A.'s husband's clothes from the
laundry. When he reached the villa in Sharjah, he found the main door closed.
S.K. told the Public Prosecution he climbed the fence around the villa and entered
the house from the kitchen door.
He then went to the bedroom to put the clothes in the closet.
On his way back, he saw N.A. in the living room.
She started screaming because she did not know who he was, S.K. said. S.K. told
her he was in the house to drop off her husband's clothes, but N.A. did not believe
him and continued to scream.
N.A. tried to reach for her mobile phone but S.K. grabbed it from her. She ran to her
bedroom and tried to escape through the window but S.K. pulled her back.
According to S.K., N.A. fainted after he choked her. When he tried to leave the room,
he saw N.A. had regained consciousness.
S.K. used a knife from the kitchen and stabbed N.A. in the neck, before escaping
through the window and throwing the knife over the fence.
S.K. said he then turned around to find N.A. trying to climb out of the window. He
went back to the house and got another knife from the kitchen.
He stabbed her repeatedly and cut her throat, according to forensic reports.
S.K. ran back to his house and told the two men he lived with that he had killed
someone. They helped him throw away the clothes he was wearing.
