Dubai Legal Consultancy Wadi Consultancy : Ministry warns against child abuse

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 1, 2009 -- Al Ain: The Interior Ministry has warned against violation of child rights and called on
parents to shoulder their responsibilities towards children as no tolerance will be
shown towards child abusers.

Major General Nasser Lekhraibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of
Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Interior, said child abusers will face stringent punishment.

He was reacting to the tragic story of Mohammad, a seven-year-old Pakistani child

who was physically abused and is now in Al Ain Government Hospital with a severe
injury.

The boy was diagnosed with gangrene as a result of lack of blood in the right leg,
which was allegedly tightly tied with a rope by his brother. Doctors may have to
conduct a surgical operation to amputate the infected leg.

Major General Al Nuaimi said police do not accept any excuse for child abuse and will
show no sympathy or tolerance towards anyone found guilty of violating children's
rights.
