When asked to explain what makes Dueling Bids so special, Chase Morgan responded, “What’s not different? We built this company to provide something we saw sadly lacking in the penny auction industry… transparency. Everywhere we went, we found some level of chicanery or downright dishonesty. We tried to find a site where we could have fun and get a fair chance, but we had no luck, so we decided to start one. We soon found that we’d have to do a lot of things differently to accomplish that.”

Dueling Bids is the brainchild of Chase Morgan. He began his design process a year ago, opened the site to public-beta, and learned that they had still fallen somewhat short of what users really wanted from a penny bid auction website.

About six months ago, he began a total redesign and a second, more exhaustive closed beta process, in order to ensure they were properly focused on what their users hope to see in a penny auction site.

“Our beta testers were phenomenal! I think some of them put in as many hours as we did ourselves, in order to find all the bugs, make sure everything was clear and easily found, helping us make the site an enjoyable experience in every regard. We really should have gotten them more involved at the very beginning,” said Morgan.

Chase Morgan went on to say that after their first false-start, they decided that simply providing one penny auction site that was fun, fair and transparent wasn’t all they wanted to accomplish. They now hope to set a new standard of excellence that hopefully, will spread throughout their industry.
