The prestigious award is given by Bay Area nonprofit Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment and recognizes women business owners in the Bay Area who:
• Have been successful despite the barriers that exist for women business owners
• Exemplify how business ownership and leadership is beneficial for women
• Have a positive impact on the local community or the community at large
• Advance their business through innovation

Tiffany will be honored at the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Ceremony on November 14 at the Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. Nearly 600 women were nominated throughout the Bay Area and just 42 women will be honored with the award. In recognizing this year’s winners, Women’s Initiative celebrates the power of entrepreneurs in transforming communities through job creation and economic revitalization. For example, from 2006 to 2010, Dynamic’s sales increased by 138% and the average number of full-time working employees increased by 109%. Also, recent research from Women’s Initiative shows that their graduates created more than 2,200 jobs in 2009 alone.

The path that I took to get where I am today wasn’t the most conventional, yet I followed my dreams and found my way. The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes women entrepreneurs and their businesses for their leadership and positive contributions to their communities. A proponent of social investing, Tiffany Stuart’s personal and professional history of community service is highlighted by volunteer efforts with Welfare to Work and Youth Employment Services. She has also served as a Board Member for Junior Achievement for the past four years, a former Executive Committee Member for the Board of Directors for the Summit Bank Foundation for 9 years and is currently a March of Dimes Committee Member. Tiffany is also active with Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation and STAND Against Domestic Violence.
