FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 10, 2009 --
After an extensive redesign process, the e-Spirit AG company website has just been relaunched with a new look and feel. With its relaunch of www.e-Spirit.com, e-Spirit has successfully completed the first project based on FirstSpirit™ 4.2, the new version of its high-end Content Management System to be released this fall. The new website features a user-friendly layout and extensive content to provide information to existing and prospective customers relative to technology, performance features, benefits, and possible applications of FirstSpirit™.
"With the relaunch of our website, FirstSpirit 4.2 has gone through its baptism by fire. We have rigorously tested the stability and new functionalities of the release under real operating conditions and were able to make additional enhancements based on feedback from our online editors. We’ve also improved the site content and design so that it can be used to meet the needs of our customers more effectively,” said e-Spirit AG CEO Jörn Bodemann.
Both the front end used with FirstSpirit 4.2 and the Interaction Design for specific target groups, which helps improve access to the various site contents, were developed by interactive tools GmbH, an e-Spirit partner. A new layout based on existing corporate designs was also created for the site to lend the FirstSpirit product brand greater impact and for improved usability of the site’s extensive content in accordance with the principles of "joy of use". Tag clouds and Web 2.0 tools like Twitter have also been incorporated into the site. The Flash elements were provided by e-Spirit partner Opus 5 interaktive medien GmbH.
FirstSpirit 4.2 with new usability features
With the feature release FirstSpirit™ 4.2, e-Spirit has modernized the interface features of its CMS and improved usability through a range of innovative enhancements. For example, a Live-View feature integrated with the JavaClient in FirstSpirit 4.2 now gives editors access to WYSIWYG capability for direct viewing of the page they are currently working on. Since the view is updated in real time as their work is saved, editors can immediately check in the preview function to see what their changes will look like on the published website. The area that is changed has a color border in both the content entry screen and the Live View – thereby allowing editors to see what paragraph they’re working on. The entry screen in the target paragraph is automatically displayed with just a click in the preview function, thus simplifying data entry and navigation, even in complex projects.
The new Multi-Tabbing function also allows you to open multiple elements side-by-side and navigate back and forth between tabs. This way editors can create a personalized workspace for their work, which FirstSpirit closes when exiting the client program and re-opens when it is restarted.
