E-Z Chassis Swaps donates time and talent to build the world first all electric 1938 Ford.

E-Z Chassis Swaps donates time and talent to Plug NPlay and it's students to help build the world's first student built all electric 1938 Ford truck. rat rod that uses plug-in power, wind and fuel for power.

Ed Lipinski, owner of E-Z Chassis Swaps has been helping Scouts, students and MN based nonprofit 'PlugNPlay' in transforming a rusty hulk of a frame to a fully function rat rod.

Ed and PlugNPlay founder, John Hodnefield, have been working weekends since July - fitting the truck with the E-Z Chassis Swap "Universal Mounting" kit (used to mount older bodies to Chevy S10 frames), a stronger bed frame and a custom tilt front end. At an estimated 200 hrs of work for each of them, the truck will be leaving Watson Sept 24th for the ride home to Andover for it's final fitting.

Plug NPlay will be offering their first Innovation Weekend to Webelos and Boys Scouts from ages 11 to 18 - October 7, 8 and 9, 2011 with a choice of over 20 merit badge classes to study from. All of the choices are themed around one goal - to complete an electrically powered rat rod that uses plug-in, solar and wind for fuel.
