. Waggin’ Tails Doggie Day Care and VibraPet Foods will combine a traditional Easter Egg Hunt with activities that families can enjoy with their dogs on March 27th from 10:30 am – 1pm. The event will be held at Waggin’ Tails located at 8516-D Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610. The differences between the two businesses are minimal as Waggin’ Tails provides outside fun and activities for dogs daily, and VibraPet Foods offers healthy food and treats for the pampered pet. The two businesses have something else in common: a love of animals, especially dogs. “All of us are dog-owners, and all of our dogs were homeless once.” says VibraPet Foods Owner Kris Fuentes. "“And to be able to use our businesses to help WOOFF connect homeless dog owners with resources is a great feeling.”
A traditional Easter Egg Hunt will include dog treats shaped like eggs, placed in plastic eggs that will provided by the two companies.
At this year’s event, there will be an Easter Bonnet contest beginning at 10:30 with a grand prize spa basket from Waggin Tails and VibraPet Foods. There will be two other chances to win prizes, At noon we will have Doggy Limbo, where the contestants are divided by size and must jump over a hula hoop, and the Crooked Path game, where the owners must hold an Easter Egg on a spoon and maneuver their way through a crooked path while keeping their leashed dogs next to them. The team with the best time will be the winners. There will be a dog trainer, on hand through the event to give training and obedience advice.
There is an off leash play park available for well behaved dogs during the event.
Tickets to the event are $5.00 per egg carton, available at the door on the day of the event, at Waggin’ Tails Doggie Day Care.
